World Swim Day 2019 Recap
This year for #WorldSwimDay we teamed up with three dynamic and influential swimmers. Our crew consisted of Kristy Kowal an Olympic medal breaststroker, Lexie Kelly a world record open water swimmer, and Ericka "Monkey" Lorenz an LA county lifeguard of 16+ years. We started off #WorldSwimDay in the pool swimming 3,000+ meters in an IM format of swimming all 4 strokes in Laguna Fins. After the pool, we all decided it was time to hit the open water and get some of that ocean salt water we all can't live without. So we hopped down to Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach and swam out to Seal Rock. The water was crystal clear and there were tons of fish and sealife to view as we swam past. Along the route we found a kelp garden and had some fun swimming through & around the giant slimy rope pods. After being greeted by two stand up paddle boarders, we swam back to shore and gathered together on the sand to commemorate another amazing day of swimming for 2019's #WorldSwimDay.
